Privacy Policy

OPBoostBuilds ("we", "us", "our") is a fan-made gaming builds resource. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is stored. We do not run ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Stored on Your Device

We use your browser's localStorage to save your build progress (acquired items) and UI preferences locally. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers unless you sign in.

Data We Collect When You Sign In

Creating an account is optional. If you sign in via Supabase authentication, we store the following in our database:

  • Your email address or OAuth identifier (e.g. Google, Discord)
  • Display name and avatar URL (if provided via OAuth)
  • Builds you have liked or favorited
  • Your pet collection and active pet preference

All account data is stored in Supabase and protected by Row Level Security. Only you can read or modify your own records.

Contact Form

If you submit a message via our contact page, we store your name, email address, subject, category, and message in our Supabase database. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and do not use it for marketing.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the site. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data practices:

  • Supabase: authentication and database (privacy policy)
  • Cloudflare Pages & R2: website hosting, CDN, image storage, and privacy-first web analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not track individual users or build behavioral profiles (privacy policy)
  • Google Analytics: measures how the site is used, including which pages you visit and how long you stay. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and assigns your browser an anonymous identifier so repeat visits can be recognized. We use it to understand which builds and guides people find useful. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising (privacy policy)
  • Mixpanel: product analytics and session replay. Records which builds and guides you open, which creator videos you click through to, and what you like or favorite, so we know what to keep updated. It also records a replay of your visit: the pages you move through, where you scroll, and what you click, so we can see where the site is confusing to use. Anything you type into a form is masked and never recorded. Mixpanel stores an identifier in your browser to link those actions into a single visit, and if you are signed in it is linked to your account id so your activity is consistent across devices. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising (privacy policy)
  • YouTube: embedded build guide videos. Google's privacy policy applies when you play a video (privacy policy)
  • wsrv.nl: open-source image proxy used to optimize third-party images

Cookies

The only cookies we set without asking are the ones that keep you signed in, via Supabase. Those are required for your account to work.

How analytics behaves depends on where you are. If you are visiting from the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, California or Quebec, we ask first: Google Analytics and Mixpanel stay switched off until you accept in the banner shown on your first visit. Decline and neither one loads, no request is made to them, and no analytics cookie is set. Everywhere else they run by default, and you can still turn them off with a content blocker or by blocking cookies. If we cannot tell where you are, we ask.

When analytics is running, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies recording which pages you view and how long you spend on them, and Mixpanel stores an identifier in your browser's local storage and records a replay of your visit. Form fields are masked in those replays, so what you type is never captured. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not share this data with advertisers.

Cloudflare Web Analytics runs either way. It is cookieless by design, assigns you no identifier, and builds no profile of you.

To change your answer, clear this site's local storage and the banner will ask again. You can also block analytics through your browser settings or a content blocker. Signing in and browsing builds work normally either way.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page. You may also contact us to request data export or deletion. Local browser data can be cleared through your browser settings at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
