Immortal Curse Sariel
Most shells treat incoming damage as something to avoid. Sariel treats it as a loan. Frailty pushes 100% of every hit you take into Pain instead of real health, and Pain comes straight back the moment you deal damage, so the exchange only ever goes one way. Affliction is the other half. Cursed enemies share half of whatever damage one of them takes, and Sariel can spread Curse across a whole group without a Curse weapon, so one swing of the Clockwork Scythe is a swing at everything standing near it.
Damage
Cursed enemies share up to 50% of all damage dealt. 18% crit chance into +100% crit damage
Survivability
100% of incoming damage converts to Pain and heals back on hit. Effectively immortal while attacking
Boss
Weaker solo. Thorns and Riposte cure Pain, but Affliction has nothing to share damage with
Sariel
Sariel the Endless is the Curse shell, built around Pain. Pain is the greyed out part of the health bar that is not gone yet and can be won back by dealing damage, and Sariel's passive deliberately converts incoming hits into it. His ability, Exodus of Thorns, fires parasitic thorns that seek out nearby enemies and stack Curse on them.

Sariel's own weapon, dropped by the boss fight that gives you the shell. It is a chainsaw scythe with a wide sweeping arc, which is the single most important property in this build because Affliction pays out per Cursed enemy hit. It is also the only weapon that takes both chainsaw ability stones, and the wiki's own recommended Tarstones for it match the creator's picks exactly.

How to Obtain

Sariel's sidearm, dropped alongside the Clockwork Scythe from the same boss. It applies Curse at range, which matters because Reaper's third point makes ranged damage cure Pain as well, so shooting heals you. With the Strange Remnant equipped its projectiles chain between targets, and that is the fastest way in the build to get an entire group Cursed before you close in.
How to Obtain

Equipped in the Active slot. Every item in Mortal Shell 2 carries two separate effect tracks and which one you get depends on whether you slot it as Active or Passive. Active Common Moonshine is a Resolve drink, and at full Familiarity it returns 50 per use, which is what pays for the chainsaw ability stones and Exodus of Thorns across a long fight.

How to Obtain
Combat Strategy
- ▸Take Frailty to three points before anything else. At 100% conversion no incoming damage touches permanent health, and every other decision in the build assumes that is already true.
- ▸Push the Arbiter's Prize to Level 3 as your first Tarstone upgrade. The Bloodcurse infusion becomes permanent there, which frees the 30 Resolve it otherwise costs every time you reapply it.
- ▸Fill all four Support slots before chasing anything else. Auspicious, Headsman's, Berserker's and Retribution are shell-side, so they carry across every weapon you swap to.
- ▸Slot Common Moonshine as your Active item. At full Familiarity it returns 50 Resolve, which is what lets you keep the chainsaw ability stones running.
- ▸Open with Exodus of Thorns to seed Curse across the group. It applies Curse stacks without needing a Curse infusion on the weapon, which is why the weapon can carry Bloodcurse instead.
- ▸Fire the Caged Hystrix into a pack when more than two enemies are up. With the Strange Remnant the projectiles chain between up to four targets, spreading Curse far wider than the thorns reach.
- ▸Watch for critical hits when relying on the Accursed Stone. That infusion only applies Curse on a crit, which is why some volleys visibly fail to land the status.
- ▸Let the first few hits land on you deliberately once Frailty is maxed. Banking Pain early gives Agonize something to refill Resolve from.
- ▸Swing the Clockwork Scythe into the middle of the group rather than at a single target. Affliction pays out per Cursed enemy, so a wide arc into four Cursed enemies is worth far more than a clean hit on one.
- ▸Run Scholar's Wormstone to build Warp stacks, then switch it off. The Thief's Stone grants three Warp per strike and the Wormstone's extra chainsaw hits stack it fast, so you bank the attack speed and stop paying Resolve for it.
- ▸Hold Clockwork Shardstone out against anything that hits back hard. The chainsaw keeps grinding while you take hits, and with Frailty those hits are just Pain you will cure on the next spin.
- ▸Riposte when the opening appears. Retribution Stone adds 20% Riposte damage and Reversal's fourth point makes Riposte damage cure Pain as well.
- ▸Deal damage to heal. There is no separate healing button in this build, so backing off to wait out a bad exchange actively loses you the Pain you could have cured.
- ▸Stay in the Cursed group rather than peeling out of it. Reversal turns 30% of a Cursed enemy's self inflicted damage into cured Pain, so standing among them is a sustain source.
- ▸Let Berserker's Stone do its job below half health. It reaches 165% melee damage at 50% health or under, which is exactly where a Frailty build spends most of its time.
- ▸Keep Scourge at three points so Curse lasts 30 seconds. Curse falling off is what turns a controlled fight back into an ordinary one.
- ▸Skip Growth and Synthesis entirely. Both only improve Exodus of Thorns itself, and the thorns are there to apply Curse rather than to deal damage.
- ▸Spend the two saved points on Torment instead of Thornfall. The creator tested Thornfall after its buffs and found the tracking still unreliable, while Torment adds damage scaled to your Pain, which this build always has.
- ▸Swap the Duality Stone in if you move to the Axe and Dagger. It makes the light combo strike twice, which doubles status application on fast weapons, but it is not compatible with the Clockwork Scythe.
- ▸Use the Cursed Child with the Summoning Stone when you want a distraction rather than damage. At Level 4 it summons two of the last enemy you killed and they pull aggro while you reposition.
