Edward Kenway
Edward is a pirate captain who fights with paired swords, pistols, tools, and the Jackdaw. His equipment determines his combat options, while two trinket slots provide passive bonuses for exploration and resource gathering.
A pair of rare rapiers with more than double the starting weapon's damage. Their strong single-target thrust gives Edward an immediate melee upgrade without requiring store progression.
How to Obtain
Legendary pistols whose shots ricochet to a second enemy. Accurate shots can damage or eliminate two targets with one round, stretching ammunition and clearing clustered enemies quickly.
How to Obtain
A legendary cosmetic outfit found alongside Drake's weapon set. Outfits do not provide combat stats in Resynced, so wear it for its distinctive explorer-captain appearance.

Slows oxygen loss while Edward is underwater. Equip it before long dives or shallow treasure searches to give yourself more time to loot and return safely.

Combat Strategy
- ▸Equip Diamond Trinket before diving and Exotic Sea Shells before hunting.
- ▸Use Anchor Medallion with Gold Earring for piracy, or keep Lodestone equipped for general exploration.
- ▸Choose Drake's Swords for raw damage or Standard Pistol Swords for free ranged Heavy Strikes.
- ▸Open clustered fights with an accurate Dark Animus Corsair Flintlocks shot so the bullet ricochets to a second target.
- ▸Break enemy defenses, then convert a Perfect Parry into the maximum takedown chain supported by your selected swords.
- ▸Use the Standard Pistol Swords' Heavy Strike when you need ranged pressure without spending pistol ammunition.
- ▸Start fort and ship engagements with Mortar I from outside broadside range.
- ▸Turn the Jackdaw's bow toward the target and trigger Double Shot to deal pursuit damage and expose weak points.
